Week 2 in Gandia

My second week with a number of planned lessons under my belt.  Still early days and I continually ask for feedback about the lessons I have completed. Whilst I love the classroom time, I feel I am not giving the 'perfect' lesson that is planned in my head.  Far from it, but I am reflecting on what should have happened compared to what did.  Perhaps the result of being a year since I obtained my CELTA qualification and feeling rusty.  Self criticism is easy to engage with but the teaching staff are super supportive and tell me my lesson has been fun and the children are enjoying them.

I especially like the 11-14 year old children (this has surprised me) and of the 16-18 year old learners there are a number of great kids who are really engaged.  Like all schools, some aren't, but they are all happy and largely polite.

As time goes by I hope to be in the swing of lesson planning and the rabbit in headlight feeling will diminish.  I'm confident it will.  I will try to adopt the relaxed way of everyone here including the feral, basking cats!
