Erasmus Blog 2: Electric Boogaloo
So, I'm officially three days into the teaching experience and yeah it's pretty cool!! I had no idea what to expect on my first day, but the school was super welcoming and my tutor Blanca is a lovely lady who I have no doubt will guide me through the process.
I was thrown into teaching on the second day and was absolutely terrified, the fear was intensified by the fact that my first fragment of a lesson was on grammar - terrifying stuff. Anyhow, it went fairly well - but I know there's a long way to go. Today I did part of a vocabulary lesson and tomorrow I'm teaching my first full lesson - it's a reading lesson, and the text I've been given is about the X Factor in the UK, which is oddly specific and pretty dated (never thought I'd be incorporating Leona Lewis and JLS into a lesson, but hey ho).
I've also managed to do a fair bit of exploring, there's some amaaaazing parks and the Arts and Sciences Centre is beautiful. I also absoultely love the commute, despite the ungodly hour. It's pretty much a nauseatingly positve experience!!!
