It is nearly the end of week one. We arrived in A Coruna on Monday morning at around 1 am after a very long coach journey from Chester to London Gatwick Airport (where Valencia group was flying from) and Heathrow Airport.
After being together for almost a week, it was about time to head for our adventure. It was very nice to spend time and share experiences together as a group of 22. I can absolutely admit that I will continue being in touch with a few quality friends after this experience finishes. They have all been very helpful and supportive, especially the UKLC staff and Fran from Language Kingdom. He was waiting for us at the airport in A Coruna and made sure everyone was okay, and helped us getting to our accommodation. It was very nice of him to personally help me after one of my luggages didn't make it to A Coruna with our flight. A piece of advice for you: never put all your clothes in one bag, I was left with only one pair of clothes for three days until my bag was returned to me :D.
The school where I am teaching, Liceo la Paz, is one of the best in the city. I am very lucky to be working with a very well-prepared teacher. Jennifer is so patient and collaborative when it comes to different teaching methods and experiences we might have. She is very open minded and one of the most creative teachers I have ever met. She doesn't mind sharing and helping. Her relationship with the students and with me is just amazing. During this week I have mainly been observing her classes, but I have also taken part in some activities and discussion with the students. I had the chance to teach one or two hours of advanced classes and I absolutely enjoyed the 'head, shoulders, knees and toes' with a group of four years old.
I am really looking forward to these three weeks left and to the trip to Santiago de Campostela tomorrow. I better don't say everything in one post because these is more coming tomorrow :D
